Bryan Boyd leads the theatre design and technology program at 性世界传媒 and directs the Theatre Design Institute, a summer series of continuing education courses for theatre educators and professionals.
As the resident scenic designer, Bryan has designed over 60 productions on campus. Off campus, Bryan’s professional work includes scenic designs for Third Rail Repertory Theatre, Broadway Rose Theatre Company, Sound Theatre Company, Artists Repertory Theatre, Northwest Children’s Theater, and Seattle Musical Theatre. In addition to scenery, Bryan has designed lighting, projections, sound, puppets and masks.
Bryan also provides event design and drafting services for clients, including global sportswear, software, and aerospace companies. His drafting and design work has supported events across the U.S. and internationally, including at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the Royal Holloway University of London, and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Bryan was awarded Set Design of the Decade by the 2020 BroadwayWorld Portland Awards for Mamma Mia! at Broadway Rose and was named a Scenic Design Faculty Fellow by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Beyond design, Bryan directed the University Players touring ensemble for 10 years and toured nationally as a performer in the one-man play Damien.
