Previously, for six years, she gained clinical work experience as an orthopedic trauma and hand specialist with Summit Orthopedics and Go To Ortho urgent care. In all, Cline arrived with 18 years of experience in the field. Her areas of expertise include orthopedics, infectious disease, gastroenterology, and pediatric surgery.

She earned a doctorate of medical sciences degree from Pacific University in May of 2025 after earning a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the same institution in 2007. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Oregon State University (1992).

Cline lives in Forest Grove and has an adult daughter, Kaitlyn, and a German shepherd named Gus. She attends Helvetia Community Church, and her interests include gardening, reading, yoga, hiking, and going on bicycle rides with her e-bike. She is also an avid wine enthusiast and the brand manager for a small vineyard, Shumaker Vineyards, owned and operated by her best friend Doug.
